Can't Say I'm Sorry

Well here we are, the day after the 2011 Ontario Provincial Election and as I would have expected there have been some changes in Midwestern Ontario.   I'm a bit surprised about the results in our riding of Perth-Wellington as Randy Pettapiece managed to squeak by incumbent John Wilkinson by a mere 630 votes.

Perth-Wellington Results

On the one hand, I believe that Wilkinson was willing and able to deliver "our fair share" from the province during his tenure but taking on the role of being McGuinty's lapdog to sell the HST across the province and subsequently paying lip service to the citizens and municipalities with wind concerns in his latest role, well as I said, I'm not sorry to see him go.

Should be interesting to see what's next.  Perhaps a plum patronage appointment might be Dalton's way of saying, "Sorry about your luck ... but here ya go!"

Wall Street Protests

Forget the bullshit the mainstream media wants you to believe.  They have little choice now but to cover the growing protests erupting in the land of the free, because the protests are too big and plentiful to hide.  They are determined to downplay the situation as a bunch of college dropouts and the young unemployed who have nothing else to do but make trouble.  It's easy to find participants to video that may not be as well versed or able to explain things well so that's what many people see.  The good news is that there is still an accessible Internet and independent journalists using it.

This young man in the video below is "hitting it on the head" over and over again.  These are very troubling times in the land of bankruptball and apple pie. frown
